ZEIT:PUNKTE with the Tonkünstler Orchestra

The Tonkünstler Orchestra and its principal conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada currently open their concert season in the Vienna Musikverein with the world première of an Austrian composer, an idea which Andrés Orozco-Estrada has been implementing consistently since taking up his position in 2009. Under their own label “Tonkünstler LIVE” the orchestra is bringing together the newly commissioned compositions from the first three seasons in their new CD “ZEIT:PUNKTE”, to be released at the end of March: “Pas de deux concertant” by Christian Muthspiel, “Cantus firmus” by Gerald Resch and the Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra by Iván Eröd with the outstanding clarinettist Sharon Kam. A fine reminder for those who attended the concerts and have thoroughly enjoyed the fresh wind blowing from the podium as well as a musical sample for anyone interested in the achievements of important contemporary composers in Austria.
