Season-opening world première
Since assuming his position as principal conductor of the Tonkünstler Orchestra in September 2009, Andrés Orozco-Estrada has opened every concert season with the world première of an Austrian composer. On 28 September Kurt Schwertsik's “Leicht flüchtig”, a Sinfonia in Three Parts op. 110, will be performed for the first time. Over the course of the season Andrés Orozco-Estrada will continue his exploration with the Tonkünstler Orchestra of works by Richard Strauss, Gustav Mahler and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
