Stand-in for Riccardo Muti at the Vienna Philharmonic

For a second time Andrés Orozco-Estrada will be at the conductor’s podium at the Vienna Philharmonic. Maestro Riccardo Muti cannot, for reasons of ill health, participate in the upcoming concerts on 3, 4 and 5 November for which Andrés Orozco-Estrada will stand in. For the 3rd Subscription Concert, and a concert for the Society of Friends of Music in Vienna, he will conduct compositions by Luigi Cherubini, Igor Stravinsky and Franz Schubert. The soloist for Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto is, Vienna Philharmonic Concertmaster, Rainer Honeck. Andrés Orozco-Estrada gave his debut with the Vienna Philharmonic in October 2010.
