On the occasion of Andrés Orozco-Estrada's inauguration as its new Chief Conductor in the 2020-21 season, the Wiener Symphoniker is holding an international competition for the composition of a fanfare.
Composers interested in applying must submit materials by November 16th, 2019
A jury in Vienna will choose one candidate, who receives the composition mandate for the concert in Autumn 2020 at Wiener Konzerthaus.
