Andrés Orozco-Estrada guest appearance on Bayerisches Fernsehen (Bavarian Television)

Andrés Orozco-Estrada is to make a guest appearance in the first 2012 edition of KlickKlack, the music magazine programme broadcast by the TV channel Bayerisches Fernsehen. With Martin Grubinger and the Euskadi Symphony Orchestra, he has put on a concert in San Sebastián with Avner Dorman's concerto for percussion, “Frozen in Time”. The programme's homepage reads: “The Columbian conductor, born in 1977 in Medellín, is considered one of the great talents of his generation. Orozco-Estrada studied in Vienna with Uroš Lajovic and it is there that he celebrated his breakthrough onto the international stage. He has now been principal conductor in San Sebastian for three years. The South American reveals in conversation with Martin Grubinger what it is like for a young musician to stand before old orchestral hands and put one's own vision into place with natural authority. Grubinger of course already knows from rehearsals together that rhythm is in Orozco-Estrada's blood, but then what can you do when you're five years old and your aunts force you to dance...”
