Principal conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada and the Houston Symphony present their season 2019-20
Russian piano legend Yefim Bronfman will kick off the Houston Symphony's 2019-20 season.
Bronfman performs Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 on Sept. 14 for the symphony's opening night. Mahler and Tchaikovsky also headline the Classical Series.
Several high-profile guest performers mark the calendar. Houston Symphony Music Director Andrés Orozco-Estrada will lead the Schumann Festival, subtitled "Angels and Demons," which presents works that showcase how Schumann revealed his inner life through his music.
